A tad late on New Year greeting. Every man has his own price and standing. Whilst thousands, in their best attire and frame of mind were invited to the Hijrah New Year celebration at the Jame' Mosque, yours truly went on a simpler celebration at our local mosque. Rather than a night that is nowadays becoming unfortunately more of a ceremonial ocassion, the function at our mosque consisted of a more down-to-earth lecture on what awaits us all - death.Every day is a ticking clock. We don't know when the calling will be. Our age is increasing and each day can only be ever closer to the moment when we are finally being called. So things like these always make ones to think of own current priorities and destiny.
